Tea Partiers overwhelmingly disapprove of President Obama's foreign policy and are more hawkish than Republicans at large, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

Respondents who identified themselves as Tea Party members disapprove of Obama's foreign policy by 81 percent to 13 percent, while Republicans oppose his diplomacy efforts at a 73-16 clip. Voters as a whole approve of his foreign policy 48-42.

That disillusionment extends to every corner of the White House's diplomacy operation. Tea Partiers are particularly hawkish on nuclear disarmament (they believe the U.S. ought to continue testing nuclear weapons and that the Senate should reject START) and Israel (just 3 percent sympathize with the Palestinians over the Israelis).

Quinnipiac surveyed 1,930 registered voters April 14-19. There is an error margin of +/- 2.2 percentage points.

Selected cross-tabs after the jump.
